Polyether Polyol Safety Guidelines

 

Handling Precautions:

This PU foaming polyol has a flash point above 150°C (closed cup, ASTM D93). While flammable, it is non-explosive. For fires, use foam, dry chemical, steam or water extinguishers. Always wear proper protection to prevent eye contact and prolonged skin exposure. Immediately rinse eyes with copious water if exposed. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water after contact.

Storage Requirements:

Store exclusively in airtight steel drums to prevent air exposure. The material is moisture-sensitive - maintain container seals to avoid humidity absorption and contamination. The product remains stable for 12 months when properly stored. Quality verification testing is required if used beyond this period.

Polyether Polyol For PU Foaming

POLYETHER POLYOL is a polyether triol with a molecular weight of 3,000. It is primarily used in the production of flexible polyurethane foam, including mattress manufacturing and similar applications.

 

Copolymer Polyol

A high-solids polymer polyol formulation designed for manufacturing flexible, high-load-bearing slabstock and molded foams. Enhances structural rigidity and promotes open-cell foam characteristics.

Isocyanates serve as essential reactants in polyurethane foam formation, creating the polymer structure through reaction with polyols. These compounds are classified as hazardous materials and require strict handling protocols.

 

Stannous Octoate

Stannous octoate (Type T-9) is the industry-preferred gel catalyst for flexible PU foam production, offering outstanding solubility in polyether polyols but requiring careful handling due to its hydrolysis-sensitive properties.

Handling And Shipping Information

The product is packaged in 25kg plastic pails or 250kg steel drums. Store in a cool, dry place protected from sunlight, moisture and water exposure. Always handle using proper safety and hygiene practices in ventilated areas. For spills, contain with inert absorbent material and dispose as chemical waste. Prevent any release into waterways or water systems.
